of art and exhibiting to the viewer is the result of the artist’s desires. At the moment of demonstration, the work goes from the personal field to the public space, it becomes "visible". Desire realizes its project of being in the world.

In my research, I have found that desire often coexists with fear. John Koenig, an author of The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows, called this feeling "Zielschmerz," which describes the intense fear of realizing one’s lifelong desire, literally the pain of achieving a goal.
